My first vector art .. it's a project for Illustration, this class focusing on computer generated works. Um.. Yeah, I just really want some opinions on it. It's still in the works, but this is basicly it.
The challenge: we had to draw a random article and then a random magazine, illustrating the article properly for the magazine. I .. drew George Orwell's 1984, hence the title. It's the man character climbing up the stairs to his modest home in the first chapter, surrounded by all the posters of big brother. Oyi, the magazine that I drew though? Ranger Rick! A children's 7-14yrs magazine about wildlife!
Please critic this!
**EDIT**
So the foot was bothering me, that got changed. Along with some of the highlights and shadows, the stairway railing. If there is an interest, I'll post the spot illustrations that I did as well. Nothing special, just a t.v. and a book. I am pretty pleased with the book though.
I really like this, Winston looks exactly how I always pictured him, albeit for some reason I always pictured him with darker hair. Anyway, this is an amazing picture.
Nice job. You've captured the first part of the book well, what with all the BB posters. Although, I always imagined Winston and the other civilian characters to be dressed in dark, drab clothes. There's just something too happy about the scene. But good work none the less.
There is a reason for the bright colors! Somewhat. *laughs*
This was a class project. From one envelope, I drew out the article/story. From another, a magazine that I had to make it appropriate for. By luck of the draw, I got Ranger Rick which is a children's magazine ... hence the bright colors, otherwise yes .. it would have been all dark and drab!
Color scheme is good,
It flows,
And the eyes on all the Big Brother posters watching as Winston walks up the stairs is perfect.
Good work over all.^_^
And no one else noticed that? o.o Goodness, that makes me feel so smart.^-^

In that case, great job.
